EW(Electronic Warfare) receiver is a greatly important part of the electronic intelligence reconnaissance systems. Traditional analog receiver has the following characteristics, such as high processing speed, wide instantaneous bandwidth, high intercept probability. But because of the limitations of analog devices, it not only has the lower precision, bad resolution at the multi-signals conditions, but also to lost the information which is modulated internal the signal pulse. Digital receiver is capable to convert the input analog signal to digital signal, store the data in memories and adopt agile digital signal processing methods, sequentially get more information from output digitized data. The digital receiver has more advantages including high precision, high resolution, and strong capability of detection and identification.This paper mainly studies various kind of digital receivers, and their signal processing technology, also analyses the theory models of digital receiver and discusses several feasible digital receiver configurations. This paper describes IF digital receiver technology, analyses the structure of digital down converter (DDC) based on multi-phase filtering technology. The results indicate that using DDC is feasible by theory analysis and simulations. This paper also introduced the structure of time domain sub-sampling receiver, discusses several signal frequency estimation method under the condition of sub-sampling, analyses the theory model of channelized receiver detailed, and validates the model using simulation experiment.
