A Study On Audio Watermarking

With the development of Internet and digital multimedia technology, audio digital watermarking has become one of the research hotspots in recent years. Secret information can be embed into audio files with these techniques, so as to achieve 'copyright protection' and 'cover communication' etc. At first, this paper described some related knowledge about digital watermarking and Wavelet analysis and then focused on the principles of those techniques. According to the theory presented above, two kinds of audio digital watermarking method based DWT were proposed, one of which repeatedly embeds watermarks in the quantized coefficients of DWT by BCH coding in order to lower the error rate of detection. And another embeds watermarks into original signals without modifying the audio data. Experiments show that the capability of these two methods to resist all kinds of common attacks is excellent. They have good robustness and the watermarks can be extracted without the original data. At last, a conclusion of this paper is given, and a prospect for the future of audio digital watermarking is also presented.
