As accidents happen more and more frequency in present-day society, more and more attention is given on the importance of medical emergency system. The step-by-step work mode of conventional medical emergency system is kept in our country, which results of the first-aid efficiency is not high. With the development of computer and mobile communication technology, GIS,GPS,GPRS and Internet technology are applied in medical emergency system, the efficiency is improved greatly. But all these technologies apply themselves to improve dispatching speed of ambulances and select the handy hospital.The thesis brings forward a design scheme of medical emergency system based on GSM network, which can change the step-by-step work mode of medical emergency system by utilizing existing mobile communication technology that has been developed relatively maturely. In the course of emergency terminal, for example ambulance, takes patients to the hospital, ambulancemen examine the patients essential physiological and electrophysiological information, such as ECG,blood pressure,HR(heart rate),temperature, by devices on the ambulance, and these signals are sent to the hospital immediately, so that doctors in hospital can get the state of patients illness and do some preparation for fist-aid. The efficiency of emergency is improved greatly result from both the ambulance taking patients to the hospital and doctors preliminary diagnosing patients are parallel carried out, which have great signification for the development of medical emergency of our country. The realization of system consists of two parts: emergency terminal and monitoring center in hospital. Therein, the emergency terminal consists of three parts: data acquisition component, terminal computer and terminal GSM Modem for data transfer. Monitoring center in hospital consists of two parts: host computer and host GSM Modem for accepting data. I used Delphi 6.0 to exploit the software which is programmed as C/S mode and can be divided into two parts: client(it's to say emergency terminal) software and server(it's to say supervisory center) software.The thesis is organized as followed seven chapters: in the first chapter, the most significance of medical emergency system and its development and existent status in domain and on aboard are introduced briefly, the defects of conventional medical emergency system are brought out and then the significance of this project is drawn out. The whole structure of this system is introduced in the second chapter. The key technology involved in this system is also stated briefly in this chapter. The expatiation of each segment is explained in the following four chapters. The third chapter introduces hardware design of the system including the design and realization of the ECG signal acquisition system based on USB and data transfer system based on GSM network. The principle and magnitude response of several kinds of rapid and efficient digital filter are stated in the following chapter. Their advantage and disadvantage to the real ECG signal are studied too. Then theory and realization of a few kinds of compression arithmetic especially for ECG signal, such as AZTEC, TP, CORTES, are discussed too. The fifth chapter introduces design and programming of the terminal software. The followed chapter six states programming of software that manages patient records. Some simply analysis for ECG signal is also studied in this chapter. The design of system is concluded and some improvement suggestion is brought forward in the last chapter.
