RSA is a widely used public key cryptosystem. It has been used in many securityand identification systems ,such as WEB server and explorer security, email, remote login and smart cards ,and function as the core of the security system. The ASIC Chip with RSA algorithms can operate with faster speed and has more ability to resist physical attacks. So to develop the RSA security chip is very important to us.In this thesis, 32bit, 64 bit, 128bit, 256bit, 512bit, 1024bit RSA Modular exponentiation IP cores have been developed. At the same time, the RSA security chip SOC architecture is introduced, and the methods of the RSA computation are analyzed systematically.The Test bench of each IP core has been written in VHDL, and these codes have been tested on modelsim5.6 strictly. The results are the same as the results of computation of mathematic software. The encryption/decryption rate of the 1024 bit IP core is 100Kbit/s with the100MHz clock frequency.
