Mobile Ad hoc Networks (MANETs) has been a field of interest in the past years due to its unique character of self-creating, self-organizing, self-administrating. Many routing protocols have been presented and attracted a lot of research interest. A nodes can communicate with other nodes that are out of the direct range with the help of other nodes. Comparing with other mobile communication networks, ad hoc networks don't need any fixed base station and their topology changes quickly. As the ad-hoc wireless networks get more attention, there are increasing demands to provide Internet connectivity to the ad-hoc networks. This thesis includes three major contributions. First we implemented and developed a DSR testbed of Mobile Ad hoc Networks and analyzed the performance of routing protocols. Some analysis is also presented in this part to explain these data results.Secondly, on basis of Multipath Source Routing, we designed a scheme to prevent damages caused by node misbehaviors and discussed the parameters in this strategy.Thirdly we suggested a strategy to combine MANETs with Mobile IPv6 protocols with two steps. 1.Upgrade of addresses of nodes and routing algorithm to IPv6 to achieve the Internet connectivity. 2.Modify original Mobile IPv6 specifications to guarantee the compatibility of the integration. This strategy is well proved to be efficient by both Testbed and simulation.
