This paper, "Analysis and Implementation of Collaborative Learning System", is integrated with the "Non-Real time Education System" subject, which is a sub-system of MOST's (Ministry Of Science and Technology) National Key Technologies R&D Project of the Tenth five-year Plan:" Network Education Key Technology and Demonstration Project". The Paper is aimed to research into the key technologies of the Internet-based collaborative study, bring forward a flexible, efficient, multiform and network-fitted cooperating teaching mechanism, and finally builds an effective network-based collaborative learning and communicating platform.It starts with the development solutions of those distributed systems, first, three popular distributed develop system is introduced, and focusing on EJB technology, the differences and cooperative working principles between these distributed technologies are compared and balanced in detail. Aiming at reinforcing for the system performance, it then introduces the load balancing techniques on the server side, the features of a Cluster, and some common used load algorithms. And it also roughly introduces the characteristics of the multi-media technique, the encoder/decoder technologies of audio and video media stream, and the multi-media real-time transport protocol, etc.Based on the relative theoretic analysis, the paper introduces the design and implementation of this collaborative learning system, which is fit for the "Non-Realtime Education". On demand of remote education, the system framework and total module relation graphics are first build up, then, is the presentations of functions and implementations in each system module. At the end of this paper, gives the concrete scheme of the improvement and consummation for this collaborative learning system.
