Electronic commerce is becoming more and more appreciated as an online business form. However, with the rapid development of network applications, the shortcomings of electronic commerce systems adopting traditional relational database technology are emerging because of increasing requirements for business processing.Recently, the new horizon in development of electronic commerce has emerging because of the application of post-relational database technology. Adopting multidimensional data model, post-relational database technology can provide levels of performance and expansibility unattainable by relational database. Meanwhile, the whole new database technology optimizes complicated business processing based on Web, and the high-speed, reliable performance can be provided in the network environment.Have analyzed background-database weaknesses in the existing electronic commerce systems, I did some deeply research on how to build a new style electronic commerce platform by using post-relational database and .NET technology in this paper. In the process of system design and its realization, aiming at the current situation of the existing electronic commerce systems developed according as the situation of enterprises or organizations and neglecting its reusability; the paper puts forward the general core-service basic architecture for different ecommerce systems in providing with data-access service, exception-handling service and security service and so on . The research is as following:1) Based on the deeply research on key technology of post-relational database, this paper set forths object access of post-relational database on .NET platform.2) Aiming at the shortcomings of the existing electronic commerce systems in architecture design, the multi-tier architecture has been designed out by using multi-tier modeling provided by.NET framework, meanwhile the expandable and reusable core-service functions has been added as well.3) In accordance with object-oriented programming design, the electronic commerce system has been designed by using UML including analyzing system's requirements, modeling static behavior and dynamic behavior.4) Combined with the design requirements of electronic commerce system, and based on data-access technology of post-relational database; the data-access layer aimed at post-relational database has been designed out and realized, meanwhile, the problems on data access in application is solved as well.5) The comparative analysis on post-relational database and relational database has been made theoretically, meanwhile, the advantage of the former on performance has been explained clearly by actual testing datum.Based on the development of electronic commerce experimental system, the paper deeply researches and carefully discusses the emphases and difficulties during the system realization. Ultimately, by the realizations of every part of this system and combining together; the new high performance electronic commerce system solution has come into being.
