The Research And Application Of USB Under Linux

Universal Serial Bus(USB) is a kind of the serial buses with high speed on transmitting.At present it has been widely used for the peripheral equipment digital device and the industrial field, for it has such advantages as Plug and Play easy to be expanded and the high speed on transmitting.First,the paper simply introduces the characteristics of USB the USB structure of software and hardware and the specification of USB 1.1. Then it also analyzes USB subsystem under Linux, including USB core Host Control Driver and Client Driver. Based on analysis before, the paper finished the design of the special USB device under Linux OS in order to enhance the security of USB's use on the embedded system. The design of the special USB device is composed of three parts: the identification of the special USB device on the client driver layer the authentication of the special USB disk user in the user space and a file encryption.At last, the paper brings up some improvement in the following work of the special USB device.
