In this paper, for the purpose of laser ranging, it has three parts: design and implement of software for laser ranging control and parameter analysis, and modeling the pulse signal.We first propose the plan of control system. The system is explain in detail from both the view of software and hardware, in which every function block of the hardware system is describe, and the architecture and function of the software system are discussed in detail. Secondly, aiming at the communication interface problem, we combine RS232 interface as main communication interface in our system and give the program.In the part of designing the laser ranging parameter, software about laser ranging using MATLAB is compiled, and an interface programming of C++Builder with MATLAB is realized. It is proved that the software can analyze relevant parameter and characters of object. It is friendly, simple, intuitionistic and utility.In the part of modeling the pulse signal, we introduce some methods of curve fitting. In this paper, we use polynomial fitting and approximately curve fitting to process the experimental pulse signal. It is important to know the character of signal and detect or recognize the faint signal and echo wave.
