Automatic Face Recongnition Technology(ATFR) is one of Biological characteristics Recognition Technologies. Owing to the merits of AFTR's more directly,friendly and convenient characteristic in comparison with ones of Biological features recognition and the impelling of huge marketing demands from the Social Security and Trade&Finance ,it has now become one of focuses in the field of Image Engineering.As a scientific issue, AFR is a typical pattern analysis, understanding and classification problem, closely related to many disciplines such as Pattern Recognition, Computer Vision, Intelligent Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Graphics, and Cognitive Psychology etc. Its research achievements would greatly contribute to the development of these disciplines. While as one of the key technologies in Biometrics, AFR techniques are believed having a great deal of potential applications in public security, law enforcement, information security, and financial security.Face is a nonrigid object with complex modes.Although a human can easily recognition of a human face,the automatic human recognition for a machine is very difficult.After a survey for human pattern features and all kinds of human recognition algorithms,a conclusion can be drawn that an efficient and robust algorithm must be one method which has been combined with muti-cues and facial features.Skin color has proven to be a useful and robust cue for face detection,localization and tracking.In this paper we presented a algorithm based on skin-color detection..Thanking to the skin color's metrit,this algorithm has a good robust for images containing human faces with all kinds of poses,different lighting conditions and complex scences .Moreover,Human detection automatically is the first important step in a fully automatic human face recognition system.
