The Design And Development Of 3D Model Library Based On Web

CAD technology has been playing an important role in manufacture, and has become the key factor to win in the ardent competition for enterprises. With the development of Internet technology, CAD technology based on Web will become the development direction of manufacture. Internet and Intranet Technology provide the possibilities of communication and collaboration for designer in different areas .The paper presents the design concept of setting up 3D model library based on Web. We take attempts, and set up 3D model library based on B/S by adopting new technology and tools. The system adopts the dynamic alternating Web operational manner based on ASP.NET. The running of the library provides a new CAD information-shared approach for Internet users. It has the ample applying foreground.The item adopts the technology of CAD, database and Internet, and makes active explorations for setting up 3D model library. We design the function modules of information browser, information enquire, 3D model browser.and 3D model download and also consider the maintainability, expansion and safety of the system. The library displays the tier relations of parts, and makes the design resources shared on Internet. It has practicability.The paper explains the whole system from the theory, the structure, the function, the traits, the reality technology and the running of the system. In the part of the system reality technology, it introduces the virtual catalogue enactment, web forms layout, 3D model parts disposal, tree structure establishment, database access design and safety design. It also introduces the involved technology about 3D model library.
