| With the swift development of the technology of computer and Internet, the information construction based on dynamic web technology has already caused people's more and more concern and attention. The office automation based on B/S model arises at the historic moment. All kinds of enterprises hope to improve the staffs' working efficiency and enterprise's management level through the information construction, and our government makes the office automation deepen the routine of staff members of administrative department to the input of the E-government and gradual increasing of popularization dynamics gradually.The paper researches and discusses the dynamic web development technology. And researches and discusses how develop the custom workflow office automated system based on the technology of relational database. The main content includes the following several parts:1) This paper recommends and discusses the developing history and trend of the office automation system based on the effect of that in the governments and enterprises, and recommends and discusses the concept of workflow and relevant technology emphatically. According to the definition of WFMC (Workflow Management Coalition), workflow is part or the whole of the business course of automatic operation, shown as the action of the participant and taken to the files, information or task according to the rules, which will be transmitted among the participants. To be simple, workflow is a series of operational activities or tasks of linking up, carrying on themselves automatically.2) This paper recommends the developing platform - .NET platform. .NET platform is a software platform which Microsoft Company released publicly in June of 2000. One of its key contents is to set up the third generation internet platform, which will solve the cooperation problem among the websites to obtain information to the maximum extent. .NET Framework is the most important component of .NET platform. ASP.NET and ADO.NET is the pivotal technology in the strategy ofMicrosoft .NET.3) This paper introduces the pivotal technology of data access in .NET platform -- ADO.NET. AD0.NET evolved from ADO technology, but it is not the simple upgrading of ADO. It has disconnected data structure, can integrate closely with XML, and it has the ability of assembling a lot of and different data expressing forms. What's more, it has the optimized function for the alternation with database. In order to separate data access and data operation, AD0.NET has used two kinds of component: DataSet object and .NET Framework data provider program, which are the pivotal components of ADO.NET.4) The self-defining workflow office automation system is the instance of this paper, which is based on the technology of relational database. We propose the solution of office automation system, which based on the technology of self-defining workflow, through the analysis of the existing office automation system in the market and the analysis and optimization to the workflow in our factual life. The system has realized the self-defining workflow completely, and handled the circulation of official documents smoothly, which has improved the efficiency of management of the company highly and saved the cost of maintenance of the system.
