These years, along with the quicker steps of the reform of higher education, thetraditionary salary-management software can not suit to the new demands. It is verynecessary and important for us to study and research the new University EmployeeSalary-management System (UESMS). UESMS is the production of the IDSS that applies toempolder the practical softwares. Its aim is to analyze the actuality of University EmployeeSalary-management and provide evidence for leaders to make decision based on thesalary-day-alteration. IDSS developed from the early of 1980's and derived from the DSS. In the middle of1990's, data warehouse and OLAP, data mining, new technologies for decision support, hadled to a new research dimension for DSS. The comprehensive integrated DSS, whichcomposed of data warehouse and OLAP, data mining, model base and knowledge basesystem, is a more sophisticated form of DSS. The paper mainly focuses on study and researchUESMS by applying these new technologies. According to the process of requirement, analysis, system design, object design,realization and test, and adopting software engineering idea of object-orientation, the paperdiscusses the applications of IDSS in UESMS. The thesis comprises four parts: Part 1: Introduces the development and actuality of the IDSS and brings forward thebackground of the researching UESMS. Part 2: Summarizes the development of IDSS from the angle of IDT and IDS, then advancethe new structure of IDS. Part 3: Dissertates the design of SMS detailedly, including the structure of system, mainfunction module, the implement of event handling, method base and database. Part 4: Studies the realization of UESMS from the theory, analyze and the design of UESMS, and putit in practice.
