Software testing which run through the phrases of software engineering is one of the most important techniques used to assure the quality of software products. For different system there are different methods. Although there are some achievements in software testing flied, there is not standard to how to test software system overall. The automatic testing is a development tendency of software testing, and the automatic generation of test case is key to implement the automatic testing.The research in this thesis is an important component of the software development phases for the PAR platform and a sub research project of the Nation's Natural Science Fund Project "The Research of Applied Formal Develop Methods and Their Tools". The PAR platform is an application software in computer special field, so it is more difficult in software testing. Testing strategy is chosen and testing plan is drafted corresponding in this thesis. Test case model and test case set is designed for Apla language's semantic and syntax, which cover almost translating function in PAR platform, such as program frame, clause, operation symbol, procedure, function.The thesis introduced basic concept , the aim and principles of software testing. Several black-box testing methods are discussed which combined with the working experiences on PAR platform. The technology of test case automatic generation is studied in this thesis which can make it more convenient for tester designing test cases.. The test case generator for Apia program which can aid the testing process by automatically generating the test case is presented in this thesis with experience-based practices, including its design scheme and algorithm. This thesis not only availably attempts to software testing in PAR platform, but also extends to the application area of test data automatic tool.
