Passive location of emitter sources has been playing an important role in navigation, aviation, aerospace and electronic warfare with its outstanding features such as better concealment and not easily disturbed compared to active location. Based on the configuration of the receiving-stations, the passive location theory, analysis of accuracy, blur and the best ways of setting up stations in measuring directions, time difference and Doppler frequency difference location methods are studied in this thesis, furthermore, time difference and Doppler frequency methods are joint to locate the flying target in the space using multi-stations in the two dimensional plane, and the computer simulation results are given out. The simulation results shows that the joint method can make up the blur problem in time difference method and the velocity vector unknown problem in Doppler frequency method. So this thesis has theory meaning and actual value in some extent.
