Research On Net Monitor System Based On JPEG2000

In the image monitor, the key to the application is to realize the efficient image compression coding. Net monitor system connecting digital monitor with network technology, not only have the advantages of compression, storage, query with DSP easily, but also have the advantages of the spot condition can be monitored anywhere, anytime. In the spite of use of sequence image compression coding in most monitor system, such problem as the image quality degradation, mosaic will appear in the narrow band. The monitor system via still image compression can maintain single image quality whenever, JPEG2000 with high compression, Progressive Transmission, Region of Interest coding. Therefore, appling JPEG2000 in net monitor system has a far-reaching social and marketable meanings. The paper presents the principle of JPEG2000 image compression coding system, analyses its key technique, proposes a quick arithmetic easily to be realized on DSP, designs the whole hardware system, finally achieves the net video monitor system on JPEG2000.
