Pulse Doppler radar is a new type of radar which uses the Doppler effect due to the relative movement between the object and the radar to measure the velocity of the object. With the development of radar technology, PD radar has had more and more widely application, Mostly airborne radars use such system. It is very necessary to study the jamming methods to PD radar.Noise jamming and deception jamming are the main jamming methods to PD radar. This paper introduces the speed deception jamming and the narrowband noise jamming in detail. The wideband noise jamming and the composite AGC deception jamming are also involved. The effect of these jammings to the PD radar receiver are mainly discussed. Afterwards, this paper presents the methods to generate the narrowband noise jamming and the deception jamming using the DDS and digital phase shifter, some corresponding simulations are also given. These methods have been applied in some type of target/jamming simulator. At the end, this paper gives the scheme of the jamming simulation system. This simulator has simple structure, flexibility and good performance. And it has been put into application.
