Studies Of Multi-Agent Technology In Modern Distance Learning System

The subject of developing and studying distance learning system based on Internet has already become a very important issue around the world. But the systems mostly move the traditional teaching method to computer system and lack of the individuation and cooperation. The development of multi-agent technology brings the opportunity for solving above-mentioned problems. Multi-agent technology offers a new direction of computation and solution. It's regard as a good method of supporting complex distance learning system.This thesis aimed at the shortcoming and deficiency of modern distance learning system, introduced multi-agent technology into the system, and proposed a design plan for multi-agent distance learning system that emphasized on individuation and cooperation with the guidance of constructivism. At last, the thesis implemented a multi-agent distance learning system that emphasized on the mechanism of agent operation based on behaviour and the mechanism of communication and cooperation based on message.The system emphasized on individuation and cooperation, and transformed teaching mode from teacher-oriented to student-oriented. It emphasized on the cooperation of many factors, combined individual study with cooperative study, fully reflected the superiority of multi-agent technology, and provided a good solution for solving the problems of modern distance learning system. The research of this thesis is very instructive to strengthen the individuation and cooperation of modern distance learning system.
