With the globalization of economic and rapid development of computer science, information technology plays an important role in the development of enterprises. To improve the capability of competition, more and more enterprises have developed Computer Integrated Process System (CIPS). As a key technology, ERP takes fundamental effect in improving the management pattern and level of enterprise. Meanwhile, as the important application of ERP, Parts and Equipments Management Software (PEM) gets more attention and application. By combining ERP and computer technologies, a PEM software is designed and presented in this thesis and is applied in a Coal Chemical Industry Group successfully.The main contributions and contents of this thesis are described as follows:1. A PEM, which applies the J2EE distributed configuration architecture, is put forward considering the status of ERP development and application in recent years. The software is based on J2EE technology and has the virtue of robustness and expansibility.2. Based on the analysis of advantage for the architecture and technology of the J2EE enterprise application framework, the software architecture takes the advantage of J2EE architecture and Web/Server architecture is discussed. The PEM possesses the characteristics of robustness, expansibility, reusable and scalable application.3. In the research of the modeling for the PEM, by combining UML modeling method and object-oriented design idea, the system UML static models and dynamic models are developed by using UML diagrams such as Use Case Diagram, Class Diagram and Activity Diagram.4. Velocity technology and J2EE technology are applied to realize the development of display-tier and control-tier. An Object/Relation Mapping Framework named PPO Mapping Framework (Plain Persistent Object Mapping Framework) which solves the mapping problem between object-oriented design and relational database model is also designed.Meanwhile the mechanism of the data persistence-tier is also analyzed. 5. The PEM, which is designed and developed in this thesis, is applied to aCIPS project of a Coal Chemical Industry Group successfully. Finally, on the basis of the summarization of the research work in this thesis, the further development about PEM is discussed.
