With the development of intelligentized, networked and distributed control system . FCS (Fieldbus Control System) , which is a new absolutely distributed control system, came into being. It has powerful life and will take a epochal change to the structure of control system and automation technology.In this thesis, FCS is taken as the object to be studied. And a further study is made based on the theory of real-time communication technologies with the distributed industrial network control system ,especially with FCS based on CAN(Control Area Network) some research has been done. The details are showed as follows:Firstly a summary is made on the development of real-time communication technologies and the applications of CAN in distributed Real-time system. Secondly a study is focused on Real-time Communication Model of FCS and the interrelated optimized theory ,and some conclusions have been made on the strategy of scheduling and Scheduling theory of Real-time Communication in the application layer of the OSI(Open System Interconnect) Reference Model .Especially focused on FCS based on CAN. To the theory with those conclusions , some detailed implementation in Foreground/Background System and Real time Operation System have been carried out , and the methods we use are mostly time-triggered model and event-driven model.Finally, In order to describing the detailed communication process among application objects three engineering applications, which are FCS of Stove Record Instrument,FCSof toil dyeing machine and FCS of high-speed cloth-splint silk machine, have been taken as samples. In the three engineering applications the application objects are mainly PLC(Programmable Logic Controller) and Controller with CAN interface.
