As computer networks and communication technologies develop rapidly, the application of distributed object computing technology has been more and more widely used. So the middleware technology, especially CORBA is widely introduced in the development of distributed applications. The complex applications in the mission critical system of aerospace, military, telecom and finance, require high reliability and usablity. Therefore the development of the middlewares is faced with more opportunities and challenges now.Fault-Tolerant is the critical mechanism to provide high reliability.With the deep research into the Fault-Tolerant CORBA system, there's more abundant functions and performances so that the research of the test for this system becomes imperative under the situation. Benchmark test is an important method in the tests for many software systems, but there're still few for the Benchmark test in the Fault-Tolerant CORBA system and no normative test specification exists to support.My thesis explores the Benchmark test on Fault-Tolerant CORBA system on the basis of the Fault-Tolerant supporting platform FTBus, which is developed by ourselves following the Fault-Tolerant CORBA specification 1.0.First, based on the detailed analysis of the Fault-Tolerant CORBA specification, the usecase set for function test in fault tolerant CORBA is designed and implemented.That set almostly covers the test on basic Falult-Tolerant mechanisms and Falult-Tolerant Infrastructure.Secondly, aiming at the application scene of the fault tolerant CORBA system in the finance field, many kinds of performance guidelines for Benchmark test in fault tolerant CORBA are established accroding to the common standard of Benchmark test for CORBA.Thus we design and realize the usecase set and do some researches into the automatic test frame.At last, we test the FTBus in the relatively real environment and analyze the test results based on the test guidlines and the usecase set described above.The analyzed result of the test will make important and practical sense for improving the functions and the performances in FTBus.
