Research On Architecture Of Distributed Intrusion Detection System Based On Mobile Agent

With more and more site intruded by hackers, security expert found than only use crypt technology to build a security system is not enough. The Intrusion Detection is a new security technology, apart from tradition security protect technology, such as firewall and data crypt. IDSs watch the computer and network traffic for intrusive and suspicious activities.The thesis analysed the current intrusion detection technologies, offered a distributed intrusion detection system based on mobile Agent against the disadvantige of normal distributed intrusion detection system. This system has good performance on distribution and expansion. At the same time , the thesis study the Agent skill used by the system . Based on these , the thesis implement this model system.The system contain four section: console Agent, trace Agent, transceiver Agent and function Agent . they cooperate to complete the intrusion detection in the distribution environment. The thesis discuss some key skills during implementing the system , such as Mobile Agent task pattern ,communication model , mobile methods, Agent authentication and information encryption.
