Application And Research Of The Mobile IP Technology

The mobile IP technology is an IP layer's solution presented by IETF, aiming at making thetraditional TCP/IP network support mobility. Based on the research of the State Key Lab on ISN of Xidian University, IWNCOMM implements the mobile IP software and product in the spring of 2002 according to the international mobile IP protocol. On the basis of the mobile IP protocol and product, the article solves the problems on the implementation of the mobile IP software. What's more, this article makes a research on the future development of the mobile IP technology.The article states the principle, the entries and the mechanism of the mobile IP technology. Then, this paper analyzes the frame of IWNCOMM's mobile IP software in order to give us an outline of the mobile IP protocol and software.The mobile IP technology provides us a way to access data and resources through Internet. However, people has realized that security problem is the crux but bottle-neck to the development the mobile IP technology. Aiming at this problem, the paper expatiates the security policy of the mobile IP technology from four aspects including physical security policy, authentication of the mobile terminal, multilateral-authentication on entities of the mobile IP system and encryption of user data. To ensure the identity of the mobile user, the paper puts forward a method of "home registration" which has been put into practice. The paper analyzes the shortcomings of the authentication scheme presented by IETF and brings forward a new multilateral-authentication scheme based on an authentication server.Currently, Windows is the dominant operation system. So, the project of realization of Mobile IP on Windows is given. The article analyses the necessity and probability of the realization on Windows. Further, it gives the models to the Mobile client, which is a part of the mobile IP software. At the same time, this paper expounds the critical technology-MARP proxy and it's realization on Windows. For the security of the data, the paper also states the authentication between HA (Home Agent) and MT (Mobile Terminal) .At last, IPv6 and Mobile IPv6 based on Windows system are studied. The article also proposes the policy of the transformation from Mobile Ipv4 to Mobile Ipv6.
