Research On Authentication Based On Web Services And .NET

Web Services is a new model of distributed computing, used broadly in the fields of Enterprise Application Integration, Business to Company, Business to Business and so on. Security is one of the most important questions of Web Services, while authentication is one of the most radical questions about Web Services security.traditional authentication system has many troubles, for example administration and maintenance. So research on authentication based on Web Services is of great importance.The dissertation firstly analyzes the current problems of traditional authentication system, put forward a method of combining those advantages of Web Services and traditional security technologies on the basis of summarizing three methods of solving those problems. Followed by, the dissertation introduces the specifications and security technologies of Web Services, sums up their characteristic, specially analyzes and evaluates Web Services authentication and traditional authentication,improves traditional password authentication, in the end, Based on .NET, the dissertation develops a model of authentication system which has the function of Single Sign-on by the way of combining Web Services and traditional security technologies, simulates the structure of the model system and testfies those methods of preventing common attacks of it.
