Now, WEB2.0 concept has found its way ever deeper into the hearts of the people, and all websites have been confronted with a problem, which is a great number of application systems including email, comment & voting. So it’s inconvenient for users to access to these application systems since they require users to input user name and password every time for authentication. Moreover, users should also remember different accounts for different application systems. The problem is sharp and clear especially for the websites with a huge amount of application systems and users. The reason for this problem lies in the overall planning rather than errors of system development. Therefore, the non-uniform in user sign-on platform will create a poor user experience, which will further result in user loss.To solve the inconvenience brought by too many accounts and passwords for too many application systems, and facilitate users to rapidly and smoothly switch among the applications, the thesis starts from characteristics of Internet business, proceeds with demand investigation and analysis, discusses ways to achieve unified user management system software technology framework and system based on single sign-on, uses universal software for development model and method, designs and achieves unified user management system. The system is based on Java EE platform and adopts MyEclipse. Strictly following MVC three-tier architecture, the system uses many mature technical frameworks including Spring, Mybatis, and it is with clear logical structure and concise code. The system has many functions like basic management, user management, application system management, single sign-on and roaming. With the help of the system, and users can register, sign-on, modify their information, roaming switch of application system.Currently, unified user management system based on single sign-on has been adopted by some websites. The actual operation tells us that the system complies with customer demand, has all-round functions and is easy to use. In addition, it can better achieve unified user management and authentication among many application systems, so user experience and stickiness can be substantially enhanced.
