A New Method Of Realizing The Commonly-shared-screens Within LAN

With the rapid development of the computer science, Computer-Assisted Instruction (CAI) has played more and more important role in the teaching practice. There is always a function that realizes the commonly shared screen within LAN in most of the multimedia CAI.In this paper, a new method is provided to realize the commonly shared screens within LAN based on the event and the multicast. Through the compare with the original method of getting the screen and sending data by broadcast. A conclusion can be reached that the new method not only reduces the resource-occupying of the teacher terminal and the other terminals that do not join the lecture within the LAN , but also makes the lecture through LANs more flexible.It is stated in detail that the method and process of realizing the server terminal and the client terminal that provide the function of sharing screen in this paper. And the specific codes of the server terminal and the client terminal that I made individually are given. The server terminal is made of the models of the event, screen capture, image compression and sending data. The client terminal includes the models of receiving data, image decompression and showing image.Through testing, the server terminal on the computer of the teacher and the client terminal on the computer of the student are able to realizing the function of sharing screens within LAN and present a new method for teaching and learning based on sharing screen within LAN.
