Now, the main trend of GIS is WebGIS, which mixes network, computer and database. With the rapid development of network technique, great capacity datum, especially, spatial datum database accessing has been already one "cho ce point" of GIS progress. Accordingly, an appropriate solution to spatial database accessing of digital image and vector data will be the key technology of GIS soft exploitation.In my paper, systemic analysis and study of framework and many correlative technologies, which are used in developing graphics and image management system of GIS soft, are performed well. A new method, "thin clien end" system of adopting B/S mode, is brought forward, which can be use to exploit three-layer structure graphics and image management system based on J2EE framework. In practical application, client end only needs install a browser; Oracle9i application servers (Oracle9i AS) are adopted on middle-layer; and data-layer makes use of Oracle database.Oracle InterMedia and Oracle Spatial can implement spatial database accessing of varied digital images and vector graphics, and availably settle superposing problem between them both. A database application based on J2EE was exploited, which validates the practicability of correlative methods and techniques, and testifies the feasibility of superposing between image and vector data, displaying, and scanning in browser end.
