The Analysis And Design Of Third Party Comprehensive Logistics MIS Based On GPS

With the further development of economic globalization and the transnational corporation numbers are increasingly high, the demand for third party logistics service and international logistics serviced will get higher and higher, especially after the entrance to WTO. The comprehensive logistics providers are the main trend of the demand. Because the third party logistics service is in its elementary stage in China, there are many problems in the processing. In order to reengineer the third party logistics business process and develop a scientific, feasible, suitable comprehensive logistics information system. This paper provides a model for third party logistics reengineering based on researching.The paper analyzes logistics information processing firstly, then summarizes the information problems that the third party logistics service companies have had, after this, plans the MIS for third party logistics service. Concerning the planning, this paper analyzes some structures, business processing and problems exist in a few of representative third party logistics service companies, then designs the objectives for comprehensive logistics management information system of third party logistics service providers, in order to realize the objectives, next step is to design a overall information system structure which include many functional designs such as the design for the system, the design for the network structure, the design for E-business platform and the feasibility analysis of the proposal. According to the proposal, the paper plans many subsystems, there are: customs reporting management subsystems, transportation management subsystems based on GPS, warehouse management subsystem, international freight forwarder subsystem. The paper also analyzes the function, business processing and data processing.
