With the rapid development of the power electronics technology, control processor and control theories, the high quality and high power density switch mode power supplies begin to be used widely. This thesis studies a new medium frequency resonant type switch mode power supply used in dust catcher. Compared with the traditional power supply used in dust catcher, the supply introduced in this thesis employ higher switch frequency and becomes much smaller, using new converter and control processor is the key factor.Combined with the latest development of modern technology of power electronics and digital signal processing, the power supply reseached in the thesis is based on DSP processor and IGBT-a high speed and large power convector. Its work frequency increases to 20kHz and its control is in full digital method. The series resonant mode helps to decrease the switch waste and the tansfomer waste largely. By CAN net,the upper unit(computer) can control and surveille the supplies together.With proper component, the serial-resonant cuicuit can make the current through the switch very little during its open and cut period and largely reduce the waste of switch. Since the power is large and the high harmonic exit,there are many electromagnetic interrupts .So we must consider that the way to reduce the electromagnetic interrupts and the limit of the high harmonic current in the circuit also relies on the parameter's choice of the resonant component, because the high harmonic will increase the waste of transformer and bring disturb to the control circuit. In the paper we will thoroughly analyze the parameter's choice of the main circuit through calculation in time and frequency fields, simulation and test with a certain load in several kinds of mode.The use of DSP makes the control of the power system simpler to realize. We research the key parts of the hardware and software design of the control circuit in the thesis. The experiment result shows that the design of the system obtains the demands.
