In these years, with the development of computer technology and the scale-up of application field for supervisory control system, traditional supervisory control system does show its shortages that the technologies which it adopts can not meet the new needs such as online-expansion, online-maintenance and fault-tolerance and so on. To meet the new needs, this thesis mainly discusses the design and implementation of ADS-based extendible supervisory control simulation system. The simulation system meets the needs of online-expansion, online-maintenance and fault-tolerance on the certain degree, which we put forward before the design.The thesis firstly analyzes the basic situation of traditional supervisory control system and points out that traditional supervisory control system does not meet the new needs in many aspects such as system architecture, communication model and software component technology. It puts forward the solution project which is based on ADS technology and introduces the fundamental concepts and characteristics of the ADS technology. It focuses on the design of extendible supervisory control simulation system. It introduces the design idea of the system, system architecture and software organization architecture and mainly discusses function modules of the system. Then it introduces the characteristics of NX/DLINK which the system adopts as development platform and the detailed network configurations for the system. The thesis discusses the specific implementation of the pivotal function modules for this system such as frame edit, information transmission for control objects, transmission for files and network auto-decision-making and so on, and puts forward some solutions for the shortages in these function modules.In the last, we have a summary on the thesis, and look into the prospect of future research work.
