The Application Of J2EE/XML In Digital Community Development

With the worldwide application and development of the network technic and computer technic, e-Government affairs have already become the inevitable selection of the most of the governments in the world, which can realize national information, deepen government reforms, improve government work efficiency and promote the further development of government works.Digital community management information system is the prolongation of e-Goverment. It makes full use of Internet's advantages, such as interaction service, swift spread and information share, so the work efficiency of community can be rapidly improved.In this thesis, XML and Web programming with J2EE have been analyzed and researched in detail. Then an available plan with J2EE and XML has been used in the development of Digital community. The work of this thesis mainly explains as follows:1. The whole plan of designing for system: After the comprehensive comparing J2EE with .NET, the whole frame and development platform have been adopted.2. The architecture of system has three tiers: web expression tier, middle business tier and background data tier. On the web expression tier, XML and XSLT have been used to detach display from data. On the middle business tier, Session Bean and Entity Bean have been used to carry out all kinds of functions. On the background data tier, SQL S.erver 2000 has been used to storage data.3. Design of web expression tier: It has been realized by using Filter, Servlet and XSLT, and Castor has been used to bind Java and XML. Through Web browser, the client can operate business on this tier, such as user manage, data browse and mutual data renew and so on.4. Design of middle business tier: On the middle business tier, Session Bean has been used to realize the business control, and Entity Bean has been used to realize the object encapsulation of data.5. On the basis of the further improvement of the Model 2.x, a J2EE application framework, in which Java, XML, and XSLT have synthetically been used, has been realized.The advantages of J2EE and XML have been used in this system, andhence it well satisfies demands of daily community management.
