High-speed image acquisition processing system is the image acquisition processing system whose sampling rate and real-time data processing rate are more than 100MSPS. Because it is high frame rate, high-resolution collection, it can be used for real-time acquisition, tracking, and transmission to high-speed moving targets, therefore, it is increasingly being used in a wide range of national defense, scientific research and other fields at present. However, with the continuous improvement of application requirements, as well as the rapid development of imaging technology, the acquisition data had been increased largely, the needed transmission bandwidth were enhanced, and the required storage space was increased, which put forward higher requirements to ability to real-time processing and transmission of high-speed image acquisition processing system. Study on real-time image compression method in high-speed image acquisition processing system and system structure design are the effective means to solve this issue. Therefore, in this thesis, some key problems of high-speed image acquisition processing system are researched comprehensively around the real-time image compression method and system structure designAfter consulting a large number of domestic and foreign related literatures and references, this thesis provided an overview of the real-time image processing algorithm. Automatic target recognition directed (ATR-Directed) image compression method and its related targets ROI detection algorithm and image coding methods were described, and the characteristics of different methods were analyzed. At the same time, the current structural design of the high-speed image acquisition processing system at home and abroad were reviewed, and the characteristics and application background of the different structures were analyzed. Based on the current research, an real-time image compression method in high-speed image acquisition processing system was mentioned, and the system structure was designed and realized in this thesis.Combined with the application background of the system and the characteristics of the acquisition targets in this project, based on the ATR-Directed image compression method, according to the disadvantages of traditional ATR-Directed image compression methods, an improved ATR-Directed image compression was designed, called IATR-Directed image compression, and the requirements to the key problems of which were mentioned. These key problems included the image transformation method, the target ROI detection operator and image coding method. And around these three key technologies, morphological Haar wavelet theory and mathematical morphology were used to algorithm study to design a new ROI detection operator, classified coder. The simulation experiments to the algorithm are used in this paper and the simulation results show that the algorithm proposed in this paper can be applied in a wide range of applications with cooperation targets and the non-cooperation targets, and it be better than the traditional methods in the needed computing time, the target ROI detection rate, as well as the code effect, and be more conducive to hardware implementation. At the aspect of the system structure design, the idea of parallel processing was used to the design. The multiple processing modules were applied to complete parallel real-time image processing, so that can accelerate the speed of real-time processing, distribute the processed image data to single processing module, reduce the performance requirements to hardware and the system design costs. Finally, the hardware implementation modules of the key modules of image pre-processing unit and image parallel processing unit in the system were established, and simulation results validates the correctness and effectiveness of the system.
