With the improvement of acquaintance and management, people'sdescribe about the world becomes more comprehensive, the data in storebecomes abundant more and more too. While the application of database isquery mainly, the efficiency is very low. Otherwise, lots of data have thestrong actual effect, the data devaluated quickly as time's go on. Simplequery or statistic can fulfill the need of low administrative levels but peopleneed the base knowledge which achieve from much data and is helpful tomake all kinds of decisions, these knowledge is highly generalize andabstract.much data be called:"data abundant, but informationindigent"because of the phenomena above. Without the strong tools, thedecisionmakers achieve the information from data must depend on theinstinct while not the database. So, decision makers insistently need thetools that can exact the useful information from much data, OLAP and datamining technique come into being because that. This paper introduce the design and implement of MIS desktop of iv北 京 化 工 大 学 学 位 论 文 用 纸BUCT, it describe the network structure and security system detailed. itmake the farther research on the sides of OLAP and Data mining based onthe OLTP system. First, it builds the Data Warehouse based on the science and technologyinformation in recent years, this Data Warehouse integrate the advantage ofROLAP and MOLAP, the detailed data are stored in RDBMS (RelationalDatabase Management System), the basic fact data and the aggregations arestored in multi-dimensional structure. Second, it use OLAP engineer to build the OLAP analysis subjectsabout teacher, just as: base information of teacher, contract, article andteaching task. The system support several method to analysis just as tableand graphic in order to make user analyze directly perceived, the same time,this approach is flexible because the data in multi-dimensional structurecan be retrieved using common developing tools and the other software likeEXCELL. Finally, in this paper, we put emphasis on the research of one of themost important methods, mining of association rules; make deep researchon the mining algorithm. We analysis the typical Apriori algorithm andimproved FP-tree algorithm. Integrating with the MIS desktop of BUCT,we designed the data mining system, which is mainly used to help thedecision maker to find the facts that influence the development of subjects' v北 京 化 工 大 学 学 位 论 文 用 纸development. It adds new research content for university's managementbecause applying the data mining technique to the university'sdevelopment.
