Research Of Computer-Based Patient Record Management System

As an application in medical field of management information system (MIS), hospital information system (HIS) lies in the third stage now, which characteristic is that traditional hospital affairs combined with clinic information. Because computer-based patient record (CPR) is the start of clinic information and the core of HIS, research on CPR becomes a key problem of study on HIS and a key issue to establish digital hospital.In this paper, based on discussion of CPR, such as its component and functions, research on outline design of CPR network management system is done, and medical multimedia information storage way, database structure are discussed in detail. According to DICOM standard, collection and show of DICOM images are solved. Medical information query strategy, archiving design, system safety design and arithmetic are also presented in this paper. Under the developping platform of Microsoft windows2000 server, Microsoft SQL server 2000 in the server end, Microsoft windows 2000 professional in the client end, a example of CPR system for department of ENT of No. 1 hospital of Shanxi medical university that based on three-tier model of Client/Serverare programmed with Delphi7.0, it is composed of patient register, data collection, multimedia data processing, data output, data archiving and safety control. It is concluded that the CPRS of ENT implements storage strategy of multimedia data and data share, and that its characteristic is normative, reliable, safe and private, when it tested at clinic.
