As the integrity of the global economy incessantly quicken its steps, the IT techniques, especially the INTERNET techniques also experience the expedite development and extensive applications. All of these results in a new revolution whose focus is on the establishment of the Cybercorp through the application of the information systems such as the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and etc. In the enterprise management field. It has been proved that the rationalization of process is the precondition of the success in the enterprise information system. Thus, a suit of systematic enterprise process diagnostic theory and strategy including their computer subsidiary instruments are needed urgently.Therefore, the research in this paper is to meet this demand.Firstly, from the perspective of the epistemology and methodology of the enterprise problem diagnosis, after the comprehensive study of the cognitive psychology, the system engineering and artificial intelligence, this paper analyzed the different phase of the enterprise diagnosis development. It also generalized the commonness in the enterprise management diagnosis and industrial engineering diagnosis from the system science's perspective and the individuality of the process diagnosis. In addition, on the basis of the enterprise process model, directed by the enterprise engineering ideology, combining the process management ideology, it proposed that the information engineering-oriented theoretical framework of the enterprise process diagnosis engineering.Secondly, from the perspective of the epistemology and methodology of the information system development, after combining the Object-oriented description language -the UML and the Petri net model-Workflow-net model, which can be executed by Workflow management system, this paper proposed the compositive hierarchical process model-the UML-WFN model. Based on the forementioned study, on the platform of Workflow techniques, directed by the enterprise process diagnosis engineering theory, it also proposed the modeling and diagnostic strategy of the operative process and information system, which took the UML-WFN model as the process model, and can be tested through the qualitative, quantitative and simulant analysis techniques.Finally, the rationality and the practicability of the theory and methodology proposed are attested through a real case and further improvement is still needed. It is hoped that the enterprise process diagnosis theory and strategy proposed in this paper can be the link between the enterprise diagnosis consultation and the development of the information system; also can be the efficient tool supporting the rapid prototype development of the information system..
