Information island has hindered the process of enterprise's information construction seriously, which brings out EAI(Enterprise Application Integration) accordingly. Traditional EAI methods usually integrate applications from peer to peer which has many deficiencies, such as poor extensibility, management difficulty and high cost in integration. Nevertheless, Web Services has the predominant features of simpleness, opening standards, functional agility, good expansibility and high validity. Currently EAI based on Web Services has becoming the leading EAI technology. The major clue on this paper is Web Services technology, around which the related core technologies are discussed firstly, such as XML, SOAP,WSDL, UDDI. Then the J2EE Framework is choosen as the implementation platform of Web Services. General and detailed architecture of Web Services are introduced so as to better understand above technologies, the design principle and the corresponding implementation method. In the next place of the paper, the current situation of software in the electric power industry is analyzed .In order to integrate the datum of all isomerous systems, Simple Web Services architecture is adopted to EAI. A J2EE application invoking a web service provided by Delphi is demonstrated here. Compress and decompress are used to process the XML messages which helps to reduce the block of network and improve the efficiency of Web Services. Web services and component model are combined, Business logic can be implemented in the components. Web Services application will gain better response characteristic and great capabilities to process a large number of request. All these are benefited from the caching, pooling and multithreading technic of the component model. Such technic has universal significance in Web Services applications.
