This way wastes manpower and has inescapable error.It is urgent to break the domestic present situation.In this paper,we introduce an automatic gas meter reading system.We utilize computer, communication and measure technique.Reading is speedy, in time,high precision on calculation and easy to administrate.In this paper,we study the automatic gas meter reading system on base of the latest research native and abroad.It is a high reliability system which with a control of a valve. Compare with the traditional system.it can not only read the gas value,note the gas meter state,but also control the gas meter.This meter reading system can prevent stealing,measure short circuit and measure open circuit.The valve will be closed when the gas leaking.It is the intelligent reading system and is closed to the smart home.In this paper,we also emphasis on the reliability.This automatic gas meter reading system is accordant with the trend of the smart home,it is practical and feasible.
