As the most effective means to eliminate current harmonics,Active Power Filer(APF) can compensate dynamically harmonics whose frequencies and amplitudes vary; Moreover,its compensation characteristics is immune to the impedance variation of utility.The main content of this thesis is about the study on the current track control strategy of Active Power Filer. The author studied the character of traditional hysteresis control strategy by theoretical analysis, computer simulation and experiment. Aiming at present problems, the author also studied the hysteresis control system based on voltage vector control and its corresponding scheme.In chapter one, the harmonic problems and the development of active power factor filter are discussed.In chapter two, different current track control strategy of Active Power Filer are investigated and compared.In chapter three, the design control system and selection of the main circuit parameter of a 20kVA shunt APF are studied.In chapter four, the thesis discusses the advantage of the proposed control strategy, and the feasibility of which is proved by the simulation under the high-power condition. In addition, a system design is introduced.
