Three kinds of the usual methods of rotor flux estimation are compared and analyzed, and the method of rotor flux estimation based on the voltage model is studied in detail. And the output phase voltage is reconstructed by means of the DC-bus voltage and the switching states of the inverter, the effect of the dead time and saturating voltage-drop of the switches on flux estimation is discussed. And the method of synchronizing instant speed identification is also studied deeply. The above methods are simulated by MATLAB/SIMULINK; in the meanwhile the hardware circuit and software programs are designed in the core of TMS320F240 DSP.In the end the prototype is implemented as for the 1. 1kW induction motor. The results of simulations and experiments not only demonstrate that the method of rotor flux estimation on the basis of the voltage model is used in the range of high speed , but also show that the method of flux estimation affects the validity of speed identification directly.
