The Research Of Service-Oriented Mechanism Of Negotiation Between Agents

In the range of artificial intelligence, there have been many experiences and achievement on the theory of behavior and archtecture about agent or agent system, the research of collaboration technology have been progressed in many years, but all of the achievement is applicable to the static and small scale agent systems only. In addtion, they also cannot provide a famous infrastructure to support the impletement of negotiation. Lacking for the reasoning and flexible mechenism of negotiation, the collaboration beteen agents can be hard to form dynamically and correspond randomly, so the agents cannot achieve the complex tasks, which need collaborate dynamically by other agents because of the uncertain enviroment.Because of these, our research group proposes an infrastructure for managing and controlling social behavior of agents (IMCSBA), which aims at adopting the policy-driven institution with the form of social-sector/federation as main line, and from five dimensions: explicitness of semantics for information content, systematization of mediate service for agents, rationality of negotiation process for agents, legality of behavior standard for agents, and individualization for adjusting agent service, providing agents with open, multi-dimensional, systematic, secure, and easy-to-transparently-adjust environment for social activities, in order to support the efficient development of social intelligence of agents.The oriented service negotiation is one of kernel mechnism in IMCSBA. Its purpose is to establish a base for both service provider and requstor-SPC (Service Provide Contract). There are three key parts to achieve this mechnism: building the social ontology and domain ontology, adopting the reasonable negotiation protocal, designing the efficient reasoning mechinism, and supporting by a message communication method. Ontology guarantee that the information presented by OKRL or OML can be understood by agens. The protocol of negotiation ensures that negotiation can go along successfully. By a nice reasoning model, all of agents can win a better result and negotiation also can be achieved in a short time. This model provides three levels reason to improve agent's intellgience: evaluation, strategy and tactic. Fanlly; the excellent message communication is the base of negotiation mechnism.The emphasis of research is the implemetation of negotiation mechnism in IMCSBA.
