The formal concept analysis has been greatly applied to many fields, such as software engineering, scientific discovery and information retrieval in recent years since it was presented by professor Wille. Concept lattice, which can uncover the relationship between concepts through Hasse Diagram, is the core of formal concept analysis. With the development of Semantic Web, ontology has been studied in various areas, such as information retrieval and artificial intelligence. The ontology concepts and the relations between them have some resemblance to lattice. This paper studies the common ground between the lattice and the ontology and puts forward ways to ontology building, merging, and mapping. The main body of this thesis includes:(1) Firstly, this paper advanced the Set of the Least ExTents (SLET). The experts could easily obtain the suggestion by studying the cardinality of the SLET.(2) Secondly, this paper delete the redundancy in the formal context by the fuzzy theory and the dictionary, which can be reduce the time in building lattice. A new type of relation can be extracted.(3) Finally, this paper merges ontology by the thesaurus,and unify the source ontology concepts in one formal context. The redundancy in the lattice could be reduced through the levels in the thesaurus and the minimal support both set by experts. The time in analysis the lattice could be reduced. |
