With the development of Information Technology and automation technology, intellectualized and digital industrial instrument stands for the future. At the same time, industrial Ethernet, one of the most popular control networks, is getting more and more attention of many manufactures and foundations for its own advantage. To catch up with this advanced technology and develop the electric actuator according to industrial Ethernet stands, the primary purpose of this research is brought forward.The main subject of this paper is the design and development on electric actuator based on industrial Ethernet with a transducer embedded in it, for which design higher performance is gained.After looking back the developing history of industrial instrument, this paper first introduces the application of embedded system on intellectualized instrument to make us design this actuator in reason.Then it is mostly discussed in the paper that how this device is designed and developed. The main work includes:The main circuit and control software and hardware of the actuator are analyzed and designed in brief.The main circuit is designed and developed in detail, mainly including AC to AC transducer circuit and its protect circuit.The control circuit is designed and developed in detail mainly including the control of transducer, the design of interface between human and machine, the realization of location measurement circuit and the development of serial port communication.As for industrial Ethernet, after this technology discussed, several typicalindustrial Ethernet protocols are introduced and analyzed in this paper, among which EPA protocol is discussed especially, which is developed mainly for the automation of process industry. Then, in this project, the communication on industrial Ethernet is developed mainly according to EPA.In the last part of this paper, the advice on how to improve on this device is put forward after the sum-up of the development experience. Furthermore, several conclusions are drawn on the development and application of control networks and industrial ethernet in our country.
