The IP Telephone System Based On The Ethernet LAN

The rapid development of the Internet technology has spurred the astonishing advance of all business in recent years. The traditional telephone business that is centered on the circuit switching technology is gradually replaced by the application of the IP telephone business with packet switching technology. The IP telephone is increasingly winning the favor of the people with its reasonable calling fee and its convenient dialing method. The form of the IP telephone has stepped into the period of IP telephone gateway from the early phone software period and the various protocols related to the IP telephone system is being perfected with the day passing. Meanwhile, as the basic facilities, LAN based on the technology of Ethernet has spread into schools, and units, but this kind of LAN has not been fully used. It is usually used to transmit and share the common data and information between computers, so it is sometimes accidental. In view of the characteristic that the network resources are idle, we have combined and simplified some related protocols of the IP telephone system, and developed an internal visual telephone software system, which has computer as the platform and needs no extra hardware support and whose operating progress will not affect the previous functions and the normal operations. Besides, the system can simultaneously monitor the real-time transmission condition of the audio and video packets, such as the loss and delay condition during the transmission in the LAN, and apply some elementary solutions to it. So it is of a great applicative value.
