Now there are many kinds of wireless communication systems. But because of the different frequency band, modulation mode and communication agreement etc in different systems. It is hard to communicate between these different systems. But Software Radio technology use the most simpleness hardware, make the most of software which can be upgrade and recllocated, this bring great conveniences to the wireless communication between different systems. Along with the rapid growth of Software Radio technology, DSP has been used widely in this area. In this paper, The Research and Realization of Software radio digital down converter based on DSP are studied and implemented.Based on the characteristic of software radio receive system, the paper chooses proper plan and arithmetic, completed the hardware and software design and realized Soft-defined radio digital down converter. In the paper, the followings are the mainly content:1 analyse the basic principle of software radio receive system.2 the realization precept of Soft-defined radio digital down converter base on DSP.3 select the proper chips and design the circuitry based on the timing characteristic.4 design the Soft-defined radio digital down converter program.Software Radio is becoming the develop direction of wireless communication technology of the future. And it is being consummated continuously. The significance of the paper is that it adopts the advanced digital technology to realize digital down converter in DSP. The key technology of the paper(including the design of the Soft-defined radio digital down converter and the analysis of the arithmetic etc)is relatively new and worth a deep research.
