In this paper, the research object is the numerical calculation of reliability for network system. Based on the theory analysis, new searching node method of minimal path sets and new method of calculation of disjoint form minimal path sets are applied to the program on calculation of reliability and sensibility for generic network system. The optimization program runs wel1.Firstly, the conception of network system reliability and method of calculation reliability for network system are introduced in the thesis. Secondly, calculation method analysis and detailed realization of searching node method and method of calculation of disjoint form minimal path sets are the emphases of this paper. Finally, a simple window is added to the calculation program, which is applied to the practical project. The program runs quickly and saves RAM, which is adapted to the microcomputer.It is a excessive and complex problem to numerical calculation of reliability for network system. Because of localization to the calculat i ng tools, many engineers just could do some qualitative analysis of reliability. So it is meaningful to exploit powerful and efficient quantitative analysis tools for reliability. The program of numerical calculation of reliability for generic network system which exploited by this thesis can resolve the problem of engineering reliability calculation in a certain range.
