This research was carried out at the Key Laboratory for Modern Precision Agriculture System Integration Research of Ministry of Education, the Research Centre for Precision Agriculture of China Agricultural University, and supported by the National Development Project Committee Project (863 Project)- Hi-tech Industrialization Demonstration, Precision Agriculture Research and Demonstration Project (Project No. 2001AA245011-1) and Laser Level Research and Development Project (Project No.2002AA6Z3041).Precision agriculture is a new developing comprehensive technology developed in the field of international agriculture in the early of 1980s. It is essentially to come precision management complicated agricultural system on the basis of information and knowledge. Its object is to raise productive potentialities of cultivated land resource, implement rational input and scientific management, make great efforts to improve farmland resource management and raise the efficiency, minimize resource input and maximize crop output. At the same time, another goal is to lighten environmental impact and keep farmland long-term and constant. During the course of developing research, experiment, practice for Precision agriculture, it concerns plenty of data like environment information, crop growth status, etc. which has spatial distributed property. It is basic and critical problem for precision agriculture system to acquire, analyze and process these data. On the basis of development of precision agriculture in our county, this paper introduces spatial information acquire technology quickly, date process technology, spare water irrigation technology, etc. In order to solve practical problem like rapidly collecting GPS data and property data, analyzing.and processing data, forming map, etc. this paper researched and developed the Palm FarmGIS and the Aid-Decision System for Laser Leveling Farmland. The former adopted the Microsoft Embedded Visual C + + 3.0 and component technology. Its functions include: 1. Geographic Information System (GIS) integrates with global positioning system(GPS technology. 2. the map is zoomed in, zoomed out, moved and etc. 3.the length of boundary and the area of the field is calculatedAthe objects in field Can be marked by point, line, label and the geographical feature in field can be added, deleted, found, modified and so on. 5. the system realizes the real-time date gathering and storage in field, paralleling navigation and grid sampling and etc. The later adopted Microsoft Visual C+ +6.0 and MapObject ActiveX and its functions include: run route, work time,data analysis, digging or filling soil and etc. The paper provided an assistant resolve scheme for farmland information acquires and leveling farmland adapted to agriculture practice in our country.
