The ferromagnetic pipeline system is widely used in the department of metallurgy, petroleum, and etc. It plays great role in the exchange and transportation of energy resources. At the present time, the ferromagnetic pipeline can be automatic detected whether in some foreign countries or in our country. However, these detecting techniques can hardly work when it is used to detect the end of the pipelines. We need some credible methods to detect the pipeline end. This article mainly discussed the Magnetic Flux Leakage(MFL) methods which is suitable for ferromagnetic pipeline end. Firstly, the magnetic field detecting model with two dimension is designed by using the Finite Element Method(FEM) software, based on which, magnetic path for the detecting system of the pipeline end is designed; And then a credible detecting method for pipeline end is brought forward. In addition, the article briefly introduces the software design flow of the system. The main parts of the article are the designation of magnetic path for the detecting system and the "no blind areas" method, which is based on the signal relativity operation.
