Research And Design Of The Information System Of The Bank Based On GIS

With the development of national economy, the requirement of self-equipments for banks increases very quickly.In today's working procedure, the management department of a general bank requires to know the detail working information of each subsidiary bank, such as the running status of equipments, exchange information and working efficiency of branch managers and technicians. For technicians, they need to trace the running status of equipments in order to maintain them as soon as possible. Only doing these, they can provide elegant services to customs. Traditional trace-management system only provides raw data as form format for technicians. It is not convenient to check running status of equipments, query information, assess working ability, andanalysis decision-making. GIS - Geography Information Systems for banks resolve above problems and realize initiative notification to increase working efficiency.This paper describes such kind of GIS: Its client adopts Arclnfo GIS software installed in Windows operating system, and its developing language is Visual C++; Its server accepts SCO open server 5.0.5 operating system; and Oracle 7 is used to store database. The paper illustrates the meaning of developing GIS for banks; GIS application status in the world; the design, architecture and functions of GIS, and detailed procedures to perform tracing and managing bank operations.
