Aiming at the problem of inner reinforcement on computer hard disks(HDD),a system structure and control sketch which not only resist shock and vibration but also prevent the magnetic head from being shocked is developed.By analysis of the dynamic characteristics of the HDD beam, the related dynamic equations are established.Utilizing the basic bend and vibration theory of the flexible beam, the vibration differential equation for HDD beam is derived. The problem of shock between the magnetic head and the disk surface is solved when designing the control system. As a example of SEAGATE series hard disk, some important data for project application is obtained by processing entity,static/dynamic,mode and harmonic analysis under ANSYS5.7.The results show that when the hard disk works, huge shock and vibration can be theoretically resisted due to some characteristics of HDD beam-gas system;the magnetic head shock problem can also be solved by optimizing the system dynamic structure;when base frequency reaches 2000Hz,the control of HDD beam is converted into the control of the shell. Finally, the effectiveness of whole system is demonstrated by means of computer simulation in 98N(0.001s),980N(0.001s) shock and lOOHz(lOmm) harmonic vibration environment.
