In order to apply to the development of design ability and national defence, task"general design platform of antenna structure" is put forward. The main purpose of this taskis to study common virtual manufacturing technology in structure design of antenna. Thispaper just serves the task. This paper applies visualization in scientific computing (VISC) to design optimizationof antenna. Optimization process can be transparent and efficiency of optimization can beimproved by using VISC method. This paper determines the design idea of combining antenna design and VISC basedon the general design scheme on virtual manufacturing system. Three points are putforward: functional modules design, I/O design between block and extrinsic form. Contentand implementation scheme of VISC software platform are researched, and the gradationstructure of software is partitioned and described. In the paper, essential programs ofVISC software are compiled based on response surface method. In addition, Krigingmethod is provided. In the end, functional modules have been integrated and a typicalcomputational example on bar structure is verified.
